Atlas’s Managing Director, Stephen Coherton has spent over forty years in international trade finance having worked for major international banks in London until 1997 when he established Atlas. A former Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Stephen has trusted colleagues in London, Geneva, Hong Kong, North & South America and Asia who are trade originators, brokers, financiers, traders and entrepreneurs. Decades in this sector has inevitably resulted in his gaining specialist knowledge of banking instruments such as Letters of Credit, Documentary Collections and Foreign Exchange.
Francisco Saint Clair Sousa Filho (StClair) is a Brazilian national and is based in Rio de Janeiro. Apart from his native tongue of Portuguese he is also fluent in English and Spanish. He has over forty years of commercial experience across a wide variety of sectors including Credit Insurance and Trade Payment mechanisms such as Letters of Credit. StClair has been associated with Atlas for some fifteen years and plays a vital liaison role between Head Office, UK and our South American clients.
Macarena has almost twenty years of experience of being employed in an international trade environment having worked for major shipping lines in a managerial capacity. Her specific roles included Sales, Marketing Pricing, Trade Analysis and Equipment Control. Additionally, Macarena was responsible for Rio de Janeiro’s port “export” liftings on behalf of her clients.
She graduated in international Relations and Law, specialising in Business Administration focusing on global trade logistic. Portuguese is her native language and she has a sound knowledge of English and Spanish. From her office in Rio, Macarena will specialise in supporting our clients shipping activities as well as having client relationship responsibilities.
